Food was great, if not a tad overpriced. Service was excellent, and the restaurant itself was super nice! Difficult to find at night and with GPS, since the main entrance is not accessible from the parking lot. Glad we stuck around and found the entrance though! The burger meat was average, but their buns were exceptional and the construction of their burgers was all around great. I'm not sure they would stand up to other $10 to $15 burgers, but for the area I have no doubt there are some of the best.
One of my new favorite places to eat. The food was fantastic, I had the gatlinburger that came with an order of fried pickles and ranch with coleslaw as a side. My wife got cheesy grits with shrimp and my daughter had the buffalo chicken sandwich. For all of our meals plus drinks was $83 and some change. The service from the employees was like none that I have never seen. For a minute you could think you are at a family gathering or at your county fair where you see all the people that you know.
Split Rail Eats has a welcoming atmosphere and a friendly staff. We just discovered the place last week and have already had three meals there and invited multiple friends. The menu has such a wide variety of food that you could visit dozens of times and eat something different each time. There are a variety of seating areas including regular tables, high tables, couches, and a bar. Split Rail Eats seems to be where the locals go. Good food, friendly folks, and within the artists district (for folks who like the Glades Road area). Oh, and try the lemon dessert. 😉
Discovered Split Rail Eats while in town for a soccer tournament. We are glad that we did! It is a little confusing when you first arrive. Where you park is facing the rear of the restaurant, the front of the businesses are actually in the middle. Don't let that fool you, it's worth checking out. When we cut through the walkway, we were met by a nice outside area with live music. Upon entering it's a cozy nicely decorated space with a wide variety of seating areas. You order at the front counter and then they bring your food to you. There was a great selection of food and everyone in our family enjoyed their meals. They had a self-serve beer wall as well as a full bar. The staff was all super friendly. It is a great place to come as adults or with a family. We ate there twice while in town and plan on visiting again in the future.
Wanted a quick bite before hitting up the arts and crafts spots. Cool vibe, very chill. I got the mimosa flight and tomato soup and grilled cheese and we shared the Fredo fries. My husband had the cheese steak and a hot buttered rum. …
We couldn't be happier with this place. The parking lot and the outside of the building where you pull up is very unappealing. But walk around the corner to the entrance and it's quite lovely. One thing about the outdoor seating (which is very lovely) needs outdoor heaters. We would have sat outside with no question if there were heaters. Inside is neat and clean. Service is wonderful. Food is wonderful. This place is a gem and not that far out of town. We loved it.
The sandwiches were great and staff was super friendly and accommodating. There was a gluten free bun option and its texture was really good! The portion size of the shrimp & grits seemed like a child’s size but tasted great. We got another …
My husband found this place away from the noise of the traffic of the car rally that must have been going on. Initially it looked like it was all apartments at the address of the restaurant. I was thinking we needed to go somewhere else. …
